Shut the fuck up, okay? One person's death should never out shadow another's just because one was a ' pop' star or because one was only a TV actor.
Get your facts straight. Michael Jackson was a young black man who overcame the adversity of being abused as a child and suffered from vitiligo. Vitiligo is a disorder where the pigmentation in a person's skin dies or is unable to function. Michael Jackson didn't turn white because he was a white supremacist--rather than looking like a fucking cow, he had his skin lightened to match the pale patches beginning to appear on his skin. It's a very common thing for people who suffer from this disorder. I know, my nephew has it. 'Well he got a nose job,'--it doesn't matter. So has Ashlee and Jessica Simpson, among the most famous of people to have them. It's recorded that MJ's father called him 'Big nose' while he was being abused as a child, and the fact that MJ changed it could be a cause of this. His songs were incredible, whether it was pop or not, and definitely influenced many generations with his work in general. Not to mention, the man was a part of so many charities and fundraisers.
As for Farrah Fawcett, she TOO was an amazing icon, ever from her first appearance on TV--which was not Charlie's Angels. She was more than a TV star, too, and worked in off-Broadway shows, which any theatrical actor can tell you, is an amazing feat no matter what. She also won several Emmy's for her great portrayal of dramatic roles in several TV movies. She even replaced Susan Sarandon in one of the plays she was critically acclaimed for. She posed for Playboy, yeah, but so have Britney Spears, Marylin Monroe, and plenty of other women. She did suffer from cancer, which is such a hard thing to do, and in fact found herself 'cancer free' several times. It came back though, which any cancer survivor will tell you is one of the biggest fears you can have. Cancer sucks. It hurts more to make yourself well than it does to just lay back and die. A very close person to me had lung cancer, had her lung removed, suffered several months of chemo, and was in remission. She was fully devoid of cancer for several months before in a routine check-up,they found tumors in her lymph nodes. She lasted barely a year before passing. It doesn't matter if someone's death was 'expected because we knew for months'. It's just wrong. She influenced generations all the way up from the 70s whether it was through her hair or through her acting.
Death is death no matter what. People are still losing loved ones and the population is still losing beloved entertainers.
Grow the fuck up, all of you, and acting like one person was more important than another. I wasn't a fan of Michael Jackson or Farrah Fawcett, but I know it's wrong to say someone's death was deserved or unimportant.
